In a compassionate move to support bedridden children, the district-level launch of the ‘Hand of Hope’ diaper campaign was held in Kannur. Jointly initiated by Samagra Shiksha Kerala (SSK) Kannur and Junior Chamber International (JCI), the campaign was officially flagged off by Assistant Collector Ehteda Mufassir, IAS.

The initiative focuses on collecting and distributing diapers to children who are confined to their homes due to medical conditions. Speaking at the inauguration, the Assistant Collector remarked that extending home-based education to such children is a profound act of compassion and truly transforms lives. He lauded all those contributing to this heartfelt mission.

E C Vinod, SSK’s District Programme Officer, emphasized the core reason behind the campaign—diapers remain unaffordable for many underprivileged families, and this initiative seeks to bridge that gap with empathy and action.

The event featured encouraging words from several key figures including P K Sabith (SSK District Project Coordinator), K C Sudheer (Vidyakiranam Coordinator), N S Dhanya (Special Educator), and Dr Megha Pothan (JCI Joint Director). District Information Officer P P Vineesh and JCI members Sangitha Abhay, Savitha Bhaskar, Majitha, Surumi, Rashmi, and Rinish Megha also extended their support.

The campaign stands as a symbol of kindness and collaborative effort, reminding society of the small yet powerful ways in which lives can be uplifted.
