In a significant boost to healthcare in Bhatkal, Life Care Speciality Hospital has introduced a state-of-the-art 32-slice CT scan machine from Germany. This upgrade means patients no longer need to travel to Kundapur or Udupi for CT scans. Salman Jubapu, the hospital’s Managing Director, announced that the new CT scan machine, along with an upgraded ICU and a Modular Operation Theatre, will be inaugurated on Saturday, 13 July 2024, by District In-charge Minister Mankal Vaidya.
A dedicated team, led by Radiologist Dr. Mohammed Naushad, will operate the new CT scan machine. Jubapu emphasized the hospital’s commitment to providing comprehensive local medical facilities. Since its inception in March 2020 with only 15 beds, Life Care has expanded to 50 beds, aiming to prevent the need for residents to seek treatment outside Bhatkal.
The new modular operation theater features advanced surgical facilities, and the ICU has been upgraded to include six beds. The inauguration ceremony will be held at 10 am, followed by a formal ceremony at Rabita Hall (Nawayat Colony) at 10:30 am, presided over by Life Care Chairman Mr. Yunus Kazia. Dr. UT Iftikhar Ali, a senate member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, will be the guest of honor.
Kazia stated, “Our goal is to provide all necessary medical facilities locally.” Future plans include establishing a 200-bed hospital in Bhatkal.
The press conference was attended by Life Care Medical Director Dr. Yasin, Radiologist Dr. Naushad, Hospital Administrator Zulfiqar, Founding Director Ismail Jukaku, and other distinguished doctors.
