In a bizarre incident, 32-year-old Raja Babu, a business graduate from Sunrakh village (Vrindavan), Mathura, attempted surgery on himself after months of unexplained abdominal pain. Frustrated with inconclusive medical consultations, Raja turned to YouTube tutorials for guidance.

Armed with a blade, sedative injection, needle, and plastic thread, he made a 7-inch incision on his own abdomen and stitched it up with 11 stitches. However, severe pain soon followed, and relatives rushed him to the district hospital. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was referred to SN Medical College, Agra after receiving first aid.

Doctors revealed Raja had a prior appendicitis surgery 15 years ago, but what he tried to remove during the self-surgery remains unclear. He is currently stable but at risk of infection, and doctors are monitoring the situation closely.

Key Takeaway:
DIY medical procedures, especially surgeries, pose life-threatening risks. Professional diagnosis and treatment are irreplaceable.
