Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dinesh Gundu Rao, emphasized the need for officials to address public grievances promptly during a Janata Darshana program held in Kadaba on Saturday. The minister warned against unnecessary delays in the disposal of files and urged officials to respond to complaints within a specified time frame.

“The government is committed to understanding and addressing the real problems of the people through Janata Darshana programs,” said Rao. He reassured attendees that the government stands with the people and will not tolerate inefficiency. Honest efforts will be made to resolve issues related to forest land in Kadaba, Sullia, and Belthangady taluks.

During the event, the minister received memorandums and personally heard grievances, resolving some on the spot. Key officials in attendance included Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat CEO Anandh K, Additional Deputy Commissioner Santhosh Kumar G, and Puttur Assistant Commissioner Jubin Mohapatra.

In addition, Minister Rao visited the taluk hospital in Sullia to inspect facilities within the wards, ICU, and other units. He interacted with patients to gather feedback on the hospital’s functioning and the quality of treatment provided. The minister praised the doctors and staff for their efficient management of the dialysis unit. Following discussions with medical staff, Rao directed District Health Officer Dr. HR Thimmaiah to appoint a gynecologist and additional staff for the x-ray unit at the hospital.
