On Friday, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated two state-of-the-art Mobile Clinics, featuring IoT-integrated telemedicine services, as part of Aster DM Healthcare’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The Mobile Clinics are set to serve the communities in Srinagar and Kalaburagi, enhancing healthcare accessibility in these regions.
Speaking before the flag-off in New Delhi, Vice-President Dhankhar highlighted the transformative efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in improving healthcare in India. He emphasized, “Quality healthcare, accessible healthcare, affordable healthcare has been a mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and over the last decade, he has brought about a big change in this direction.” Dhankhar also praised the Ayushman Bharat program, which offers health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh for eligible citizens, ensuring that even senior citizens receive free healthcare.
The Vice-President also acknowledged the success of India’s telemedicine initiatives, which have facilitated remote access to diagnostics and medical consultations. He noted that the nation’s digital infrastructure has earned global recognition for its reach, benefiting even the most remote areas of India.
Vice-President Dhankhar emphasized the significance of mobile clinics, calling them a crucial part of healthcare delivery, especially for those in need. He stated, “To be assured that there is a mobile clinic within your reach is a great assurance to the people in distress.”
Further, he commended India’s progress in healthcare, mentioning that the Ayushman Bharat Yojana has already benefited millions, significantly alleviating the financial burden of healthcare on families. He also noted improvements in medical education, healthcare infrastructure, and the nation’s position as a global leader in pharmaceuticals.
