In a significant step toward making mental health support more accessible, Consultant Psychologists Murshida Siraj and Shahila Shaheer from Kasaragod District have launched Miracle Mynd Online Mental Health Services. The platform aims to provide professional counseling and psychotherapy while addressing the stigma surrounding mental health. The initiative emphasizes the importance of mental well-being, encouraging people to treat it with the same priority as physical health.

The official website, www.miraclemynd.com was inaugurated today by Honourable Health and Family Welfare Minister of Karnataka Mr.Dinesh Gundu Rao at a ceremony held at Circuit House, Kadri, Mangalore. The  Minister who inaugurated the event, stated that it will be of great use for the public and  they should take advantage of such  facilities that makes mental health care more accessible and wished every success to the founders.

The event saw the presence of several distinguished guests, including Dr. Kanachur Monu (Chairman, Kanachur Medical College), Dr. Manjunatha Bhandari (Member, Karnataka Legislative Council and Working President, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee), Mr. Pradeep Kumar Kalkura (President, Kalkura Foundation, Mangalore), Mr. A.R. Subbayyakatte (Member, Karnataka Border Area Development Authority), Mr. K. Harish Kumar (Ex-MLC, President, DK District Congress Committee), Mr. Inayath Ali (KPCC General Secretary), Mr. M. Mithun Rai (KPCC General Secretary), Mr. Praveen Chandra Alva (Corporator, Mangalore City Corporation), and Mr. Girish Shetty (LDA Member, Mangalore), Arif Freelance Media consultant, Udinoor Mohammed Kunhi-Dad of Murshida Siraj and     KC Nasser- uncle of Shahila Shaheer also graced the occasion.

Murshida Siraj highlighted that the platform will work toward reducing stigma within communities where cultural barriers often prevent people from seeking mental health support. The service also includes webinars on various mental health topics to spread awareness. Additionally, the founders have plans to introduce free consultations for economically disadvantaged individuals in the future.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Shahila Shaheer, marking the beginning of a promising initiative to bridge the gap between mental health care and accessibility.
