In a heartbreaking incident, a couple from Urdugudde in Kashipatna village took their own lives (suicide) by hanging themselves in a nearby forest on Thursday. The deceased, identified as Nonayya Poojary (63) and his second wife Baby (46), reportedly struggled with various personal challenges.
Nonayya had been dealing with health issues for the past five years, and the couple, who remained childless together, faced significant emotional distress. Nonayya was previously married and had five sons and a daughter from his first wife, who passed away a decade ago.
This tragedy highlights the urgent need for mental health support and community resources to help individuals facing overwhelming difficulties.
