15-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Raped in Jodhpur: Congress Blames BJP Government
JODHPUR: A 15-year-old girl who went missing from her home was reportedly raped by two men at a dump yard behind Mahatma Gandhi Government Hospital on Sunday night. The incident came to light on Monday, leading to the detention of the suspects, who are currently being questioned by the police.
The case has sparked strong criticism from the opposition Congress, which has accused the BJP government of failing to maintain law and order in Rajasthan. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra have both condemned the incident, claiming it reflects a deteriorating law and order situation under BJP rule. Gehlot described it as an example of Rajasthan descending into “jungle raj,” while Dotasra highlighted the increasing crime against women in the state.
The Congress leaders’ statements underscore the ongoing political tensions and concerns about safety in Rajasthan.
