The unsettling incident unfolded in broad daylight at Pandav Nagar, just a stone’s throw away from the temple premises, during the afternoon, according to a police official.

Mohit Sharma and Arun Tyagi, the unfortunate victims, were en route to Ghaziabad on a motorcycle, having just collected the hefty sum from a client in West Delhi.

Moments before merging onto National Highway-9, near the temple – a bustling hub known for its heavy foot traffic – their path was obstructed by four armed assailants on two motorcycles.

When Sharma and Tyagi attempted to evade the threat, the robbers rammed into them with their bikes, causing them to tumble onto the road. Amidst the chaos, one of the perpetrators lost his balance and fell.

Seizing the opportunity, the remaining three thieves snatched the bag containing the cash and swiftly fled the scene, leaving their comrade behind. However, alert passersby and commuters managed to apprehend the stranded robber, who was promptly handed over to the police.
