Patna: In a shocking and brutal incident, two young siblings — Anjali and Ansh — were allegedly burnt alive by unidentified miscreants inside their home in the Janipur area of Patna on Thursday. The victims were the children of Lalan Kumar Gupta and Shobha Devi, both employed as security guards at AIIMS Patna.

The tragedy unfolded shortly after the children returned home from school. According to early reports, intruders broke into the house and set the children on fire. By the time neighbors and authorities reached the scene, the house was engulfed in flames, and the children could not be saved.

Local police from Janipur Police Station responded swiftly, and the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP-2), Phulwari Sharif, also visited the spot. An intensive investigation is underway, and the area has been cordoned off as a precaution while search operations for the culprits continue.

Authorities are yet to establish the motive behind this appalling crime. No arrests have been made so far.
