A 25-year-old woman died in the early hours of Sunday after reportedly experiencing breathing difficulties while attending a party at a friend’s rented apartment in DLF Phase-1 in Gurgaon, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Simran Dadwal, an air hostess and a native of Mohali in Punjab. She had been living in Delhi and working with an airline for the past two years.
Collapsed during private gathering
According to initial information shared by the police, Simran was attending a private party with friends when she suddenly complained of breathing discomfort. Alarmed by her condition, her friends immediately rushed her to a nearby private hospital.
However, doctors declared her brought dead, officials said.
Police alerted by hospital staff
Police stated that hospital authorities informed them about the incident, following which a team was dispatched to the hospital. After completing preliminary formalities, the body was shifted to the local mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Officials said further legal action would be decided based on the autopsy report, which is expected to determine the exact cause of death.
Awaiting autopsy findings
At present, police have not indicated any signs of foul play. Statements from friends who were present at the party are likely to be recorded as part of the investigation.
