Tamil Nadu: In support of the statement by actor/politician and Makkal Needhi Maiyam (MNM) Founder Kamal Haasan’s statement that the first Indian terrorist was a Hindu, State Congress chief K S Alagiri, here on Monday, May 13, said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organisation had no difference.
He slammed RSS stating that a ‘Hindu terrorist’ Nathuram Godse had killed Mahatma Gandhi because he had rejected their policies which, Alagiri, termed similar to that of the Islamic State (ISIS), a radical group carrying out terrorist activities in Arab countries.
Alagiri opined that the main intention of RSS and other Hindu organisations was to eliminate all those who did not accept their ideology.
He said, “The Hindu organisations’ policies are similar to that of ISIS which believes that if the Muslims did not adhere to their ideologies, they should be executed. I totally agree with what Kamal Haasan said.”
Earlier today, while campaigning in Aravakurichi assembly constituency in support if his candidate, Haasan had said, “Post-independence, the first terrorist in the country was a Hindu and that was Nathuram Godse who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi.”
Haasan had also clarified that he had not said this because he was addressing a Muslim-dominated constituency but stated it standing right in front of the Mahatma Gandhi’s statue.
