Assam Launches “e Kaksha” To Revolutionize Digital Learning

Samagra Shiksha Assam (SSA), in collaboration with Mission Gyan, has launched the “e-Kaksha” initiative, a digital learning platform designed to deliver quality education to students from classes 1 to 10 across Assam. Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu inaugurated the platform at SSA’s State Mission Office, emphasizing its role in bridging educational gaps, particularly in rural areas.

The platform offers video lessons in Assamese across key subjects like English, history, geography, and social science. Aimed at addressing the shortage of subject-specific teachers, e-Kaksha provides students with self-paced, flexible learning opportunities. Dr. Pegu praised the 45 teachers who contributed to the program’s content and encouraged the expansion of lessons in Bengali and Bodo to support a wider student demographic.

Accessible on YouTube, the initiative ensures equal learning opportunities for urban and remote students alike. Notably, Mission Gyan implemented the project without charge, reflecting their commitment to social impact.

This initiative aligns with SSA’s mission of inclusive education, combining technology with local relevance to enhance comprehension. By tackling challenges like teacher shortages, e-Kaksha is a step toward equitable, technology-driven learning for Assam’s students.
