According to sources within the police department, Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT, has reportedly acknowledged involvement in the arrangement of snakes and snake venom at rave parties he organized. This revelation emerged after Mr. Yadav’s recent arrest in connection with the snake venom case. During interrogation, he purportedly confessed to being acquainted with individuals previously arrested for supplying snake venom. The 26-year-old YouTuber, initially denying any association with the snake venom controversy, allegedly disclosed having encountered the accused at various rave gatherings and maintaining communication with them.
Following his arrest, Mr. Yadav was remanded to 14-day judicial custody. In addition to facing charges under the Wildlife Act, he now confronts accusations under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Specifically, Section 29 of this stringent legislation, invoked against him, pertains to drug-related conspiracies such as procurement and distribution, making bail difficult to obtain.
Moreover, Elvish Yadav is alleged to have incorporated snakes into his video productions. Despite initially attributing the presence of snakes in his videos to Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, sources suggest otherwise.
Earlier in the investigation, five individuals, including four snake charmers, were apprehended following a raid at a banquet hall in Noida, where nine snakes and snake venom were confiscated. This operation ensued subsequent to a complaint by an NGO member, who, acting undercover, engaged Mr. Yadav in discussions regarding snake venom procurement. The ensuing lead directed law enforcement to the aforementioned suspects.
