New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief, Amit Shah, on Wednesday dropped the National flag of India, during the flag hoisting ceremony for the 72nd Independence Day celebration at the party Head Quarter in New Delhi.
Evidently, mistake while pulling the string resulted in the flag being dropped to the ground, which Shah immediately rectified.
The clip that was being aired on the state Television Doordarshan has gone viral on social media. The video has been shared thousands of times on Facebook.
Opposition party Congress instantly took a dig at Amit Shah regarding this incident and tweeted, “How will someone handle the country, who can’t even handle the national flag properly?”
“No matter how powerful you are, everyone bows before nature. Tricolour refused to get hoisted by Amit Shah. By this, Bharat Mata conveyed she is sad,” Kejriwal tweeted.
