The now-viral “cockroach” slogan made an unusual appearance during the Youth Congress protest against alleged irregularities in NEET-UG 2026 at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Thursday, drawing attention and amusement from political leaders and attendees.

The protest was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, AICC general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, ministers and senior Congress leaders.

Viral slogan enters political protest

During the demonstration, Siddaramaiah and Surjewala, along with other leaders, released T-shirts carrying the slogan “PM is compromised”. At the same venue, several Youth Congress members were also seen holding T-shirts printed with the caption “I am cockroach”.

The slogan references the increasingly popular satirical digital movement known as the “Cockroach Janta Party”, which recently gained massive online traction through political memes, commentary and viral social media content.

The satirical outfit has attracted millions of views and followers within a short period, becoming a widely discussed internet trend among young social media users.

Trademark applications filed

In a related development, official records reportedly show that three separate trademark applications have already been filed seeking rights over the name “Cockroach Janta Party”.

The NEET-UG controversy continues to trigger protests and political reactions across the country after allegations of examination irregularities and paper leaks surfaced earlier this month.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had cancelled the examination and announced a re-test following nationwide criticism and investigations into the alleged compromise of the exam process.

The unusual appearance of the “cockroach” slogan at a formal political protest has further amplified online discussions around satire, youth politics and digital culture in India#CockroachJantaParty #Bengaluru #NEETUG2026 #YouthCongress #PoliticalSatire #Siddaramaiah #ViralTrend #newskarnataka
