Noida: Over-the-counter medicine Combiflam may have brought relief to shooting pain, but now, chemists and distributors of this pain reliever are recalling the medicine after a sample of batch number 6 NA 0347 of the medicine failed a disintegration test conducted in the UP government’s laboratory in Lucknow.

The Times of India reported that following the episode, some chemists have started recalling all Combiflam tablets irrespective of the batch as a “precautionary measure,” as they fear infamy due to a possibility of test failure by the government.

Sanofi India Limited has a depot in Ghaziabad from where the medicines are supplied to entire western UP including districts like Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, etc through the C&F agents.

Meanwhile, most chemists have started returning all the Combiflam tablets for fear of earning a bad name to the pharmacy.
