A hilarious cake fail from a Delhi bakery has gone viral after a Reddit user shared a picture of a birthday cake gone wrong. The user, who goes by @Kookie69420, recently ordered a chocolate truffle bento cake for her mother and asked the bakery to write “Happy Birthday Mummy” on it. In the instructions, she added a simple note: “Text with frosting.”

Unfortunately, the bakery took the note a little too literally.

When the cake arrived, it read — in full — “Happy Birthday Mummy. Text with frosting.” The mix-up quickly turned into an internet meme, with social media users joking about how the bakery followed directions too well. The cake, which weighed 300 grams and cost ₹400, became the center of laughs online, though the customer wasn’t amused.

In her Reddit post, the user also shared a screenshot of her conversation with the bakery, which reportedly refused a refund or replacement, adding to her frustration.

The post gained traction instantly, with thousands of amused comments. One person joked, “This takes the cake!” while another quipped, “You had one job.” Some sympathized, noting the poor customer service, while others found the goof oddly heartwarming.

One Redditor summed it up best: “Honestly, this would’ve made my birthday!
