A disturbing incident has surfaced from Delhi’s Maidangarhi where three members of a family were discovered dead inside their home, while the younger son is untraceable. According to NDTV, the matter came to notice after neighbours sensed a foul odour from the house and immediately informed the police.
When officers entered the residence, they found Prem Singh, aged between 45 and 50, and his 24-year-old son Hrithik lying in pools of blood on the ground floor. On the upper floor, the body of Rajni, aged 40 to 45, was found with her mouth gagged.
The family’s younger son, Siddharth, around 22 to 23 years old, was missing. Locals revealed that he had been receiving psychiatric care for more than a decade, with his most recent treatment at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS). Medical prescriptions and papers retrieved from the house further supported this.
Initial inquiry suggests Siddharth might have attacked his family members using knives and heavy stones. Investigators also learned that he allegedly confessed to someone about the killings and claimed he would not return to the Maidangarhi house.
Village head Mohammed Shakeel Ahmed Khan added that the household often witnessed quarrels, noting that Prem Singh was addicted to alcohol.
Authorities have sealed the house, while forensic experts are gathering fingerprints and crucial samples. The bodies have been sent for autopsy. Police have launched a manhunt to locate Siddharth and uncover the full sequence of events behind this tragic case.
