New Delhi: A 21-year-old model was allegedly stabbed to death by a gym trainer at her home in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar on Wednesday, police said. The victim’s family has alleged that the accused had been harassing her.
Woman found in pool of blood
The victim, identified as Muskan, lived with her parents and four siblings on the second floor of a four-storey building near Mangla Hospital, according to police.
Police said the accused entered the house at around 5 pm on Wednesday when Muskan was alone. He allegedly stabbed her multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Neighbours rush to help
Neighbours reportedly heard Muskan screaming and rushed towards the house. They found her seriously injured and lying in a pool of blood.
She was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival, according to a police officer.
Family alleges harassment
The victim’s family has alleged that the accused had been harassing Muskan. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged harassment and the killing.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over the safety of women facing harassment and the importance of taking threats and repeated unwanted behaviour seriously.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the attack and the accused’s alleged involvement.
