New Delhi : On Saturday, a leopard was spotted near South Delhi’s Sainik Farms, prompting the Delhi Forest Department’s wildlife team to launch a search.

Two meat-laden traps have been strategically placed in the area, according to officials.

“The leopard is still near the location where the traps were set, near the Neb Sarai police station.” “It was last seen today near N Block, Sainik Farms,” an official said.

The goal is to either catch the leopard in the traps or track its movements away from the area.

If the leopard is successfully captured, it will be moved to the nearby Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, where the safety of the locals and the leopard is guaranteed.

The Delhi Forest Department is highlighting the need for caution and cooperation to ensure the safe resolution of this unexpected wildlife encounter. Residents and authorities are staying vigilant as the search operation progresses.
