New Delhi : The Budget Session of Parliament has been extended until February 10th to allow for the presentation of a White Paper comparing the state of the Indian economy before and after 2014.

To ensure sufficient time for addressing key government matters, the Lok Sabha has decided to extend its current budget session until Saturday, February 10th. It’s worth noting that there will be no Question Hour session on this extended date.

During his address to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address. He criticized the previous Congress government, accusing them of compromising national territory and promoting divisive narratives. Modi also accused Congress of fostering a “north-south divide”. Additionally, he referred to Congress Rajya Sabha leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s ‘400 paar’ remark and cited TMC leader Mamata Banerjee’s prediction that Congress might not secure more than 40 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

The Lok Sabha has extended its budget session by one day, with no Question Hour scheduled for February 10th.

The extension of the budget session until Saturday, February 10th was proposed by the Chair and approved by the House, aiming to ensure sufficient time for essential government business. However, it’s important to note that there will be no Question Hour session on this extended date.
