New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the second session of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main, with Paper 1 (BE/BTech) scheduled for April 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9, and Paper 2 (BArch and BPlanning) for April 12. Approximately 12.57 lakh candidates have registered for this session.

NTA has issued a notification outlining actions that could result in exam cancellation and disqualification from current and future exams. Following post-exam data analysis, the agency has taken disciplinary action against certain candidates and vows to continue identifying and investigating suspicious activities.

To maintain fairness and transparency in exams, NTA has emphasized strict enforcement of rules and regulations, including measures to prevent unfair practices. The enactment of the Public Malpractice Act 2024 mandates exam agencies to take stringent action against offenders.

According to the official notification, stringent measures have been introduced to deter malpractices, including multistage verification, biometric authentication, and frisking of candidates and staff. Additionally, surprise visits by flying squads, deployment of full-time observers, and the utilization of AI tools for discrepancy identification have been implemented.

Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to exam guidelines, as any deviation, such as talking, peeping, or assisting others during the exam, may lead to cancellation of candidature and disqualification from future exams. Even during bio-breaks or restroom visits, candidates must undergo mandatory frisking and biometric authentication.

NTA reaffirms its commitment to conducting exams with fairness and integrity to ensure that only deserving candidates secure admissions or jobs.
