New Delhi : According to police, a 23-year-old woman’s body was discovered on Sunday in Vishwaas Nagar, north Delhi, stuffed inside a bag.
According to a senior official, at 4:44 p.m., the Farsh Bazar police station received a police control room (PCR) call regarding a suspicious bag in a room close to Gali no. 10 in the Vishwaas Nagar area. A police team and an FSL team were then sent to the location.
“The spot was forensically examined and upon opening the bag, a strangulated dead body of a woman, a resident of NSA colony, was recovered,” said a police official.
“A case under appropriate sections is being registered. Strong leads have come up about a suspect in investigation so far.
“Multiple teams are working to nab the accused. Police teams are also scanning CCTV cameras to know the entire crime sequence,” the official added.
