A final-year student of Goa Dental College has been booked for allegedly trying to spy on and record videos of female students at the girls’ hostel in Bambolim. The incident came to light after the Girls Hostel Secretary filed a complaint with the Agacaim police on Saturday.
According to the complaint, on May 19, 2025, between 9:45 pm and 10:00 pm, the accused trespassed onto the ground floor of the girls’ hostel. With a criminal and indecent motive, he allegedly attempted to capture videos of female students while they were bathing, using his mobile phone through a bathroom window.
Police termed the act a serious breach of privacy and dignity, adding that the accused’s actions reflect a grave violation of legal and moral boundaries. “This is a disturbing intrusion into the safety and personal space of the hostel’s residents,” officials said.
An FIR has been registered, and further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the offense and collect supporting evidence.
