Former model Divya Pahuja’s body has been discovered in a canal in Haryana, as confirmed by Gurugram Police. This development follows the recent arrest of Balraj Gill, one of the suspects in Pahuja’s murder, at Kolkata airport. The body was found in the subsidiary canal of the Bhakra canal in Tohana, Fatehabad district, Haryana.
Gurugram Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Varun Kumar Dahiya provided details, stating that Pahuja, 27, was fatally shot in a Gurugram hotel room on January 2. The motive behind the murder, according to police, was Pahuja’s alleged extortion of money from the hotel owner. She reportedly blackmailed him with compromising photographs.
Gill, who had evaded authorities by abandoning his vehicle near the Patiala bus stand, was apprehended at Kolkata airport. Another suspect, Ravi Banga, remains at large.
Divya Pahuja, a former model, met her tragic end allegedly at the hands of hotel owner Abhijeet Singh in Gurugram. Singh, along with two accomplices, purportedly transported Pahuja’s body in a car and dumped it in Patiala.
On January 5, Gurugram Police recovered the vehicle believed to have been used in disposing of Pahuja’s body. Surveillance footage captured the car near a toll plaza, heading towards Patiala.
Karan Singh, a constable from the Crime Branch of Gurugram Police, mentioned that the investigation involved six teams under the Special Investigation Team (SIT). These teams conducted searches for the body in various locations across Punjab, Delhi, and Rajasthan.
