Mumbai: Retired Navy officer Madan Sharma, who was attacked by the members of Shiv Sena, over a whatsapp message said that he has joined the BJP and the RSS.
“I have now joined BJP and RSS. We will not let any gundagardi happen in Maharashtra. I have asked the Governor for President’s rule and he has promised to discuss the issue with the Centre,” said the Navy veteran after meeting Governor BS Koshyari on Tuesday.
After the retired officer was attacked over a whatsapp message, Shiv Sena took to its mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ and questioned if Madan Sharma was taught how to respect a Chief Minister.
“Wasn’t Madan Sharma taught in the Navy to respect a person holding a Constitutional post?’ the piece in Saamana read.
Six suspected Shiv Sena workers were granted bail on Saturday in the case of assault.
