Shiggaon: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called upon the voters to defeat Prahlad Joshi, who justified the betrayal of the tax money of the people of the state by the Centre.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Prajadhwani-2 Yatra. It was organized on behalf of Vinod Asuti , the Congress candidate for the Hubli Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency .
“In 10 years, Prahlad Joshi has not questioned the injustice done to the state by Narendra Modi for a single day. The state was also cheated in the 15th Finance Commission. CM Siddaramaiah asked whether your vote was respected by Prahlad Joshi, who did not question the central government that did not give grants even when there was a drought, and did not even speak on behalf of the people of the state, “ he asked.
“Even when there is such a severe drought in the state, the central government has not released a single rupee for drought relief from the share of Karnataka state. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi represented the state but to no avail. He said that only if you defeat him and send him home, your vote will be respected,” he said.
District in-charge minister Santosh Lad, former minister Vinay Kulkarni, Lok Sabha candidate Vinod Asuti and MLAs of the district were present.
Minister Santosh Lad, former minister Vinay Kulkarni along with MLA NH Konaraddy, Legislative Council chief whip Salim Ahmed, leaders of Shiggaon assembly constituency Yasir Khan Pathan, Somanna Bevinamarad, Azzam Peer Qadri and district and taluk leaders together vowed to make the Congress candidate win this time.
