The clip, which surfaced on social media on Thursday, shows the visibly distressed man standing outside the Collector’s office, holding his elderly mother’s hand and pleading for officials to hear his grievance. His emotional outburst has drawn widespread attention and raised questions about grievance redressal mechanisms at the grassroots level.
## Complaint raised during public hearing
According to available information, the incident took place during a public hearing held earlier this week at the Indore Collector’s office under the supervision of the Additional District Collector. The man had reportedly arrived with his mother to submit a complaint alleging that his name was removed from the SIR records despite possessing valid documents.
However, he was allegedly unable to meet officials as he did not have the required meeting slip. This reportedly led to a heated exchange, during which he claimed that the Booth Level Officer (BLO) had not responded to his repeated complaints.

He also shared personal circumstances, saying his father had passed away, his mother suffers from poor eyesight, and he alone manages the household. Carrying documents each time and waiting for hours, he said, was physically and financially exhausting.
