New Delhi: While the whole nation, people across the globe and leaders across the political spectrum have been mourning and condoling the death of former external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, a distasteful tweet by controversial Pakistani actor Veena Malik has stirred the hornet’s nest.
Considered to be one of the most loved politicians across the world, Sushma Swaraj, 67 died due to a cardiac arrest on Tuesday. While netizens condoled the death and recalled how pro-active Sushma Swaraj was as an external affair minister, helping even those who raised issues on her twitter handle, Veena Malik crossed the line and tweeted ‘RIH with a fire emoji”.
Intending to say ‘Rest in Hell’, the infamous actor’s tweet did not go down well with the Twitterati, who retorted in a sharp manner. While some called Pakistanis as beggars, many others shared tweets of Pakistanis who have expressed grief over the former minister’s death. While some hurled abuses, many posted Malik’s scantily dressed pictures to convey that she is a Grade C actor.

A user posted the statement made by a Pakistani boy who was seeking medical help in India. “After Allah, you are our last hope,” the boy had written to Sushma Swaraj and the twitter user put it up in honour of the leader.
It is known to all that Swaraj always went out of her way to solve the problems of the people who raise concerns and issue, even on social networking sites. Scores of people have been helped by her in this manner and her gesture catapulted her to the position of being termed ‘Best-loved politician’ by the Wall Street Journal.
