In a deeply disturbing incident from Nalgonda, Telangana, a 15-month-old child was found abandoned at the RTC bus stand after his mother allegedly eloped with a man she met on Instagram. The child, identified as Dhanush, was discovered crying by depot staff and passersby, who promptly alerted the police.

The woman, Naveena, a married resident of Hyderabad, reportedly left her husband and child behind to run away with her social media lover. CCTV footage captured at the bus stand showed her walking away from the crying child and soon after, riding off on a motorcycle with the man, believed to be from Old City, Nalgonda. In a heartbreaking moment during the investigation, the toddler recognized his mother in the CCTV video and cried out, “Mummy.”

Police, led by Sub-Inspector V Saidulu, used digital evidence and CCTV visuals to track the duo. The motorbike’s registration details helped identify the man involved, confirming he was Naveena’s online acquaintance.

All three — Naveena, her Instagram lover, and her husband — were brought in for counselling. Following this, the child was safely reunited with his biological father.

This shocking case underscores growing concerns about online relationships and their real-world consequences, especially involving children.
