Kerala: Nurturing a dream of buying herself a cycle one day, little Anupriya used to drop a few coins into her piggy bank religiously. Very little did she know that the money she was collecting was going to serve a large and a greater cause.
When calamity struck God’s Own Country, this little kid proved that children are truly selfless. According to The Hindu, Anupriya had been saving her pocket money and collecting Rs. 5 coins in five piggy banks. Her parents supported her decision by handing her a Demand Draft in favour of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Hundreds have died and scores of people have been rendered homeless in Kerala after the state witnessed one of the worst floods in a century.
