Bengaluru: Yadagiri assistant election officer Shankara Gowda Somanala has served a notice to Kodi Mutt seer Sri Shivananda Shivayogi Rajendra Swamiji for predicting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become prime minister again.
The Seer has been given 48 hours time to respond to the notice.
All started with seer predicting that Modi will return to power at Yadagiri. Irked by his open prediction, local Congress leaders had approached the election commission. Based on the complaint, a notice has been issued.
It can be recalled that the commission banned any kind of predictions on the electoral outcome under the Model Code of Conduct rules.
