KOTA: A 35-year-old private sector employee, Dushyant Pandey, was found dead by suicide at his home in Kota on Friday morning. Police say he left behind a detailed eight-page note naming four men—Narendra Nagar, Ravi Tiwari, Shankar Rai, and Rambhagat—alleging that sustained financial pressure and harassment from them drove him to take this extreme step.
According to Borkheda Police Circle Inspector Devesh Bhardwaj, Dushyant had locked himself in his room on Thursday afternoon and did not respond to repeated calls. When the door remained shut through the night, his father alerted the police early Friday.
Officers broke into the room and found Dushyant hanging from the ceiling fan. His handwritten note reportedly outlines the mental torment he endured due to financial stress and alleged pressure from the four named individuals.
Preliminary investigation suggests Dushyant may have been in a severe financial crunch, possibly facing legal trouble related to cheque bounce cases. He lived with his parents and sisters, and there had been no prior indication of such a drastic step, family sources said.
The police have filed a case and are probing the involvement of the named individuals, promising to verify all claims in the suicide note. Dushyant’s body was released to his family after a post-mortem was conducted.
