Mumbai: LEAP India, in association with Mission Green and C4Cynergy, conducted the soft launch of its Mental Health Workshop at The Westin Mumbai Garden City, LEAP Headquarters. The initiative brought together nearly 50 educators and industry experts from CBSE, ICSE, IB, State Board schools, universities, pharmacy colleges, colleges of education, and degree institutions across Mumbai.
The gathering marked the beginning of a city-wide movement aimed at strengthening emotional wellbeing within the academic ecosystem.

Prioritising Mental Health in Education
In the current competitive and digitally driven environment, students face mounting academic pressures, social expectations, and personal challenges. The workshop emphasised the urgent need for schools and colleges to create safe spaces where students feel heard and supported.
The initiative aims to normalise conversations around mental health, equip educators with tools for early identification of emotional distress, and establish structured support systems within institutions. Beginning in Mumbai, the programme envisions gradual expansion across Maharashtra and eventually nationwide.
Vision from the Founders
Mr. Sunu Matthew, Founder of LEAP India, addressed the audience, stating, “Mental health is not a luxury; it is a necessity. A child who feels emotionally safe learns better, grows stronger, and dreams bigger.” He highlighted the responsibility of educators in shaping not only academic outcomes but holistic wellbeing.
Mr. Subhajit Mukherjee, Founder of Mission Green, emphasised that societal progress depends on emotionally healthy individuals, while Dr. Ushavati Shetty, Founder of C4Cynergy, underscored the importance of early intervention and emotional literacy in educational spaces.
Keynote Speaker Mr. Amrut Jadhav delivered an inspiring address on the theme “Moving Mountains Within Us,” encouraging participants to build resilience by addressing internal challenges such as fear, doubt, and unresolved experiences.
Endorsements from Educational Leaders
Principals and directors from leading institutions expressed strong support for the initiative, acknowledging that mental health affects students, teachers, and families alike. Many emphasised that sustainable academic success is inseparable from emotional wellbeing.
Book Launch Highlights
A significant highlight of the evening was the launch of two books by C4Cynergy:
- No One Tells You About Being a Teen – addressing the emotional realities and silent struggles faced by adolescents.
- Journey of a Teacher – reflecting the responsibilities, pressures, and impact of educators in shaping young lives.
The launch symbolised the broader mission to initiate open, honest conversations around mental health for students, teachers, and parents.
A Movement for Long-Term Impact
The collaboration between LEAP India, Mission Green, and C4Cynergy marks the beginning of a sustained mission to integrate emotional wellbeing into the core of education. With committed leadership and growing institutional support, the initiative seeks to ensure that no student navigates emotional challenges alone.
The soft launch sets the foundation for a long-term, purpose-driven movement aimed at building emotionally resilient classrooms and empowered communities across India.
