Yashasvi Brahmane, a promising Class XI student aspiring to become a doctor, tragically passed away due to cardiac arrest while attending Macro Vision Academy in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. Her untimely demise has sparked controversy and raised concerns about potential negligence on the part of the school authorities and medical personnel involved.
Allegations of Negligence:
Yashasvi’s parents, Lohar Brahmane and family, allege that they were not informed of their daughter’s deteriorating health by the hostel warden or school authorities. Despite complaining of fever and seeking medical attention, they claim they were kept in the dark about her condition until it became critical. They suspect improper treatment or overmedication by the attending doctor may have contributed to her death.
Contradictory Claims:
While the school administration, led by director Anand Chouksey, denies any negligence and asserts prompt action was taken when Yashasvi complained of chest pain, her family insists they were reassured of her well-being until it was too late. Dr. Gagan, the treating physician, maintains that Yashasvi’s deteriorating condition warranted immediate medical intervention, which unfortunately couldn’t save her.
Pending Investigation:
The Lalbagh police station, headed by Amit Singh Jadaun, is awaiting the autopsy report to ascertain the cause of Yashasvi’s death. Once the report is obtained, appropriate action will be taken to address the concerns raised by her grieving family.
This tragic incident underscores the importance of transparency and timely communication between educational institutions, medical professionals, and the families of students, especially in matters concerning their health and well-being.
