Mumbai: Three decomposing bodies were found after a locked house close to Mumbai gave off a bad odor, the police reported today. They added that there was a strong gas smell coming from the house and that the bodies found in Vasai had no signs of injuries.
The three bodies have been identified as fruit vendors from Anand Nagar in Vasai by their monikers, Mo Ajam, Raju, and Chhotku.
When the residents noticed a stench coming from the building’s second floor on Sunday afternoon, they alerted the police. When the police broke in, they discovered three dead bodies and a strong gas odor inside the home.
Initial probe suggests someone would have left the gas on and a lack of oxygen led to their death. However, the exact reason will be known only after post-mortem.
