Chikkamagaluru: A shocking incident unfolded in Karkeshwar village of Koppa taluk, where a young man named Satish became the victim of a brutal assault by a group of youths due to an unpaid loan of five thousand rupees. The repercussions for failing to repay the debt took a violent turn as the lender, along with accomplices, orchestrated a merciless attack on Satish.
The assailants, infuriated by the non-repayment of the loan, subjected Satish to a ruthless beating, capturing the entire gruesome incident on video. The attackers went to the extent of tying Satish’s hands and feet to a tree while he was on a plantation on Somlapura road in Koppa taluk. The distressing video has been widely circulating on various platforms.
Satish, now bearing visible bloodstains and bruises on his back, sustained significant injuries during the brutal assault. Following the incident, he was promptly taken to Koppa Government Hospital for urgent medical attention. The Koppa Police Station has registered a case against the perpetrators, identified as Mahesh, Vithal, Cyril, Sunil, Manju, and Kattehaklu Manju. Authorities are actively investigating the matter to bring the culprits to justice.
