The Navi Mumbai police have initiated legal action against an individual accused of defrauding 27 people of more than Rs 2 crore under the guise of securing them jobs at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Here are the details of the case:
Accused and Allegations:
Sadanand Bhosale, a resident of Airoli, allegedly duped the victims by promising them employment as security guards at the RBI. Between September 2020 and September 2021, Bhosale purportedly collected a total of Rs 2.24 crore from the individuals.
Failure to Deliver and Complaint:
Despite the payments made by the victims, they neither received the promised jobs nor refunds. Consequently, a complaint was lodged on behalf of the victims with the Kharghar police.
Legal Action:
Based on the complaint, the Kharghar police have filed charges against Bhosale for cheating and breach of trust. The reason for the delayed police report has not been disclosed. Subsequently, the Crime Branch of Navi Mumbai police Unit III has taken over the investigation into the matter.
