Mumbai: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has once again become the target of a disturbing threat. An anonymous individual sent an email to Ambani’s company, demanding a staggering Rs 20 crore. The chilling message threatened Ambani’s life, stating that unless the money was paid, he would be killed. The email further boasted about having the “best shooters in India.”
In response to this alarming threat, Ambani’s security team complained to the Gamdevi police in Mumbai. The police have filed a case against the unknown sender under sections 387 (putting a person in fear of death or of grievous hurt to commit extortion) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). An immediate investigation has been launched to trace the sender.
This distressing incident is not the first time Ambani has faced such threats. In the past, he has been targeted by individuals making menacing calls and even threats to blow up establishments associated with him and his family. Despite these challenges, law enforcement agencies continue to diligently work towards ensuring Ambani’s safety and bringing those responsible for these threats to justice.
