A shocking tragedy has emerged from south Mumbai’s Pydhonie area, where four members of the same family were found dead after reportedly falling critically ill at their residence.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the locality, with authorities launching an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
Family members identified
The deceased have been identified as Abdullah Dokadia (40), Nasreen Dokadia (35), and their daughters Ayesha (16) and Zainab (13).
The family lived in Mughal Building at Ghati Galli in the densely populated Pydhonie area.
Fell ill after dinner
According to preliminary reports, family members developed severe symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness and abdominal pain during the night and early morning hours.
Neighbours alerted authorities after the situation worsened, following which emergency services rushed them to hospital.
The two daughters were reportedly taken to hospital first, where one was declared dead on arrival and the other died shortly later. The parents also passed away soon after.

Some early reports linked the illness to food consumed at home. However, officials have not confirmed any specific cause, and the exact circumstances remain under investigation.
