The cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination over alleged paper leak irregularities has triggered frustration among lakhs of students — but it has also sparked a wave of memes and satire across social media platforms.

Many users online have turned to humour to cope with the uncertainty, with fictional references to “Dhurandhar 3” becoming one of the internet’s biggest running jokes linked to the controversy.

‘Dhurandhar 3’ memes flood social media

Several meme creators jokingly claimed that the “real story” behind the NEET paper leak would only be revealed in the imaginary sequel, Dhurandhar 3.

Posts circulating on Instagram and X featured edited movie scenes, fake scripts, and satirical dialogues connecting the paper leak allegations with exaggerated political thriller plots.

One viral meme reimagined a scene involving fictional characters discussing a “NEET guess paper,” while another joked about a dramatic national-security-style conspiracy behind the exam cancellation.

Another social media user sarcastically wrote that filmmaker Aditya Dhar would supposedly explain the entire NEET controversy in a future sequel.

Students face pressure despite online humour

Behind the humour, however, lies deep anxiety among NEET aspirants. Many students who appeared for the May 3 examination said they had spent years preparing, often studying for eight to ten hours daily.

The cancellation has forced thousands of candidates back into intense preparation while awaiting clarity on fresh examination dates.

CBI probe continues

The Central Bureau of Investigation has widened its investigation into the alleged paper leak, questioning multiple suspects across states including Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, protests have been reported in several parts of the country, with students and parents demanding transparency, accountability, and stronger examination security systems.
