New Delhi: Lodged in Tihar jail, the four convicts in the heinous Nirbhaya rape and murder case are doing all possible attempts to come to terms with the fact that their execution date is fast approaching.
Vinay Sharma, one of the convicts has reportedly turned into an artist and poet and has drawn 11 sketches, one of which includes that of Nirbhaya!
Titled as ’16 December, 2016′, the sketch shows Nirbhaya and the four rapists, including himself. The bottom of the sketch shows four nooses.
He has also written a diary named ‘Darinda’, which means a demonic. It is said that Sharma had asked the jail authorities for paper, pencil and a painting brush, which was provided to him.
He has also sketched his late mother and late grandfather and as per sources, Sharma was seen brooding and weeping very often remembering his mother. He has also penned down several shayaris.
Lawyers representing the four death-row convicts have also revealed the sale of those paintings at Tihar Haat. Meanwhile, the dairy and the painting, along with some other documents have been handed over to Vinay Sharma’s lawyer SP Singh.
It is also said that Sharma has written letters to his friends, urging them to behave well.
A 23-year-old paramedic student, referred to as Nirbhaya, was gang-raped and brutally assaulted on the intervening night of December 16-17, 2012, on a moving bus in south Delhi by six people before she was thrown out on the road.
She had succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at a hospital after she was shifted to Singapore.
