Varanasi: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) swept the student union elections held at Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, beating its rival, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
As per the results announced on Wednesday, January 8, Shivam Shukla of the NSUI won the post of president with a margin of 485 out of 988 votes. Chandan Kumar Mishra was elected as the vice president with 553 votes.
The NSUI also won the general secretary post.
