
Pachaiyappa’s students climb atop MTC bus, trigger chaos in Chennai
More than 15 students from Pachaiyappa’s College caused a commotion in Chennai on Tuesday by clambering onto the roof of a Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus. The disruptive act drew public attention and led to traffic obstruction in the area.
As per a report by Thanthi TV, police have filed cases against the students under three different legal sections, including those related to public obstruction and disturbance. The exact motive behind the students’ actions remains unclear, but officials have confirmed that the act was deliberate and endangered public safety.
Following the incident, authorities launched a search operation to identify and locate the students responsible. Investigators are also reviewing surveillance footage and gathering witness statements to trace those involved.
The police have warned of strict action against those found guilty and emphasized that such behavior will not be tolerated, especially in public transport spaces where safety is paramount.
