New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday has declared that Pakistan will pay a heavy price for the terror attack in Pulwama.
A suicide bomber belonging terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad rammed an explosive-laden car into CRPF vehicle, killing 45 troopers on Thursday.
The Prime Minister, after chairing a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting with his top ministers, said the security forces have been given full freedom to retaliate.
“The forces behind this act of terrorism and those responsible for it will be definitely be punished,” he said.
Countries across the globe have condemned the heinous Phulwama attack and many nations have asserted that they are with India.
Germany, Australia, Turkey, Canada and the Czech Republic are some of the countries that have come out in support of India, while immediate neighbours of India-Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have expressed solidarity.
White House, while condemning the attack has told Pakistan to end support and safe haven provided to all terror group on Pakistani soil. A late night statement by White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, on Thursday said, “The United States calls on Pakistan to end immediately the support and safe haven provided to all terrorist groups operating on its soil, whose only goal is to sow chaos, violence, and terror in the region.”
Pakistan, as usual, has denied allegations and said that it has “always condemned acts of violence” anywhere in the world.
