New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended birthday greetings to Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, who turned 84.
Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister wished Kharge a long and healthy life.

In his post, Prime Minister Modi wrote:
“Birthday greetings to Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge Ji. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life.”
The message was shared on the Prime Minister’s official X handle and quickly drew attention from political leaders and party workers across the country.
Veteran Congress leader turns 84
Mallikarjun Kharge is one of India’s senior-most political leaders and currently serves as the President of the Indian National Congress as well as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha.
A veteran parliamentarian, Kharge has held several key positions in both Karnataka and national politics during his decades-long public career.
Leaders from across the political spectrum are expected to extend their greetings to the Congress chief on the occasion of his birthday.
