Flight details and timeline
The flight was originally scheduled to depart from Delhi at 12:25 hours but took off at 14:33 hours and landed in Dimapur at 16:45 hours, according to Flightradar24.com.

Similar incidents globally
This is not the first reported incident involving lithium-ion batteries in aircraft. Earlier this week, a lithium battery stored in the overhead compartment of an Air China flight from Hangzhou to Seoul caught fire. A video of that incident circulated widely on social media, highlighting the risks associated with carrying electronic devices on flights.
Airlines routinely advise passengers to carry power banks and lithium batteries in carry-on baggage rather than checked luggage, and to follow safety guidelines to prevent overheating or short-circuiting.
