Ace badminton player PV Sindhu will marry Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai, an executive director at Posidex Technologies, on December 22, 2024, in Udaipur, as reported by PTI. The families had known each other for some time, but the final decision was made just a month ago. The wedding ceremony will take place in December, with a reception planned in Hyderabad on December 24. Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, mentioned that December 22 was chosen due to Sindhu’s busy schedule ahead. “This was the only available window as her schedule will be hectic from January,” he stated. The wedding festivities will begin on December 20. Sindhu will soon resume her training after the ceremony, with a focus on the upcoming season. Despite her marriage, Sindhu confirmed her commitment to the sport and plans to continue playing for the next couple of years, aiming for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. In her recent win at the Syed Modi International badminton tournament, Sindhu secured the women’s singles title for the third time, defeating China’s Wu Luo Yu. At 29, Sindhu feels her experience is a significant advantage, and she’s excited about the future. She plans to compete in several upcoming tournaments, including in Malaysia, India, Indonesia, and Thailand.
