Union Minister Shivraj Chouhan opted for a train journey today to reach Bhopal, marking his return after winning the Lok Sabha elections in Vidisha. Renowned for his humble demeanor, Mr. Chouhan boarded the Shatabdi Express from Delhi accompanied by his wife.
During the journey, he engaged with fellow passengers, interacted with children, and even posed for selfies with some. Sharing snapshots of his train travel on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Mr. Chouhan lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for ushering in “revolutionary changes” in the Indian Railways.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, instrumental in BJP’s decisive victory in the previous Assembly elections but now serving as Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, succeeds senior BJP leader Arjun Munda in this role.
Mr. Chouhan secured a significant victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from his stronghold of Vidisha, with a resounding margin exceeding 8.2 lakh votes. This win adds to his impressive electoral track record, having clinched the seat consecutively from 1991 to 2004.
